    We’re frequently closed for private parties during the summer. Check the live operations calendar before every visit, including road access and seasonal opening dates.

    Closed to the public all winter. The Bear is reserved exclusively for our cat skiing guests.

    Come off the trail, park your bike, or make lunch the whole reason for the trip. Above Fernie, the Bear’s broad patio opens onto forest and the limestone peaks of the Lizard Range.

    Find a table with friends. Order something good. Let the conversation wander while the mountains do the rest.

    The journey is part of it.

    Drive up. From the property gates, follow the rugged access road for approximately 8 km. Allow about 20 minutes and respect the 30 km/h limit.

    Ride in. Follow the Lazy Lizard trail to the lodge; bike racks are right by the Bistro entrance.

    Walk it in. From the lower parking lot, connect the Rail Trail, Old Growth Trail and Lake Trail, following signs to the lodge.
